On their own initiative the women's group from NGO “Gjuvljano Mangipe” and two DRC community workers Sadeta Gashijan and Fitim Krasniqi, cleaned the green areas around the Roma Mahalla Learning Centre. They started this initiative to give their children a safe and clean environment when classes start for the new school year.
The women's group and the community workers also try to set an example for youth and the community at large to take responsibility for the environment they live in. In future, they are hoping to continue with such initiatives and involve more inhabitants of Roma Mahalla, in order to keep the neighbourhood clean and safe for everyone.
